Today's project.  I'm soooo happy with it and my sister
has an adorable frock for date night.....

 Kids Craft Table and Chairs

I'm so exited about this table and chairs set.  This set was donated to the Childrens Museum silent auction last weekend but I have one with two chairs in the works.  Pictures coming soon!
 The little buckets hold crayons.

The slipcovers can be removed to show the adorable, distressed chairs.

My new passion becomes Shibby Shab Lu!

I'm not really sure how I ended sitting on my Maniac #1's bed (of course because she's in mine) at 1:30 in the morning (while I'm not sleeping) starting a blog (while I'm not sleeping!) BUT here I am.  Here goes my first post.

Although I'm not certain what Shibby Shab Lu is I do know it's straight from my heart.  I fell in love with coastal, shabby chic furniture a few years ago and about a year and a half ago started painting everything I owned!  This past December I borrowed a sewing machine from a friend and started sewing pillows and window treatments, and now I am making scarves and dresses.  The name Shibby Shab lu was inspired by the two tiny maniacs who live in my home, Lucie and Luc.  Lucie is my regularly disheveled princess who takes visitors of our home on a tour and tells them, "Mommy shibby shabbed this and Mommy shibby shabbed that."   One day with great enthusiasm she loudly announced, "I love when Mommy shibby shabs!!!!!" She just never quite got the term shabby chic, so I knew if anything ever came of this new passion that Shibby Shab Lu would be the name.  A random call to my friend who happens to be an immensely talented graphic designer and the most adorable logo I've seen in a while was created.  I have to say that the logo sealed the deal.  I really don't know what exactly Shibby Shab Lu does or is or will be but as for right now I am enjoying this very creative phase of my life!

Smooches.
